Screening of the film "Neon"
Królikarnia invites everyone to watch the film Neon
Neon tells the story of neon signs in Warsaw – relics of the days of the Polish People’s Republic. They are presented as an element of urban architecture borrowed from the capitalist world of consumption to function in the socialist reality. Neglected and removed from buildings in the capital till recently, they are being rediscovered. Neon signs have started to attract museologists, art historians, photographers and, first of all, young people with a passion for art and design who have discovered the allure of old neon lights.
After the screening there will be a meeting with director Erik Bednarski. The meeting will be conducted by Wojciech Kacperski.
The event accompanies the Zapal się! (COME ALIGHT! Lightwork of the common good) exhibition.
