CONCERT: At Dusk vol. 6 | Sebastian Buczek + Filip Lech
The sun. It is not a person, so why do we keep greeting it? Maybe it is because we just feel a need to greet.
It brings joy to find yourself performing a gesture oriented to something so distant, with a little trick you can actually turn to yourself.
This year’s cycle “At Dusk” features musicians who seem to embrace grand narratives and distant traditions, but they actually have their own myth to tell, detached from “real” tradition. We begin with a performance by Sebastian Buczek – an artist who pretends to be a musician. Buczek is an expert in bees, an author of records of polycaprolactone and glass, and a fearless instrumentalist. Founder of the label AltanovaPress and member of Dawid Radziszewski Gallery. Upon the request of the artist, the repertoire of the performance will remain secret until 4:30 am on Sunday.
The performance is held on the eastern terrace of the Królikarnia Palace under a clear sky. Soon afterwards, the other side of the palace hosts a performance by DJ Filip Lech. The tireless collector of ridiculous recordings will take us on a voyage from sounds made by ants, to squeaking and rustling, to fake disco, to very sad songs by a certain babooshka. DJ Filip is a co-founder of DUNNO Recordings and an owner of a clowder of cats.
