CONCERT: At Dawn vol. 7 | Kamil Szuszkiewicz + Facial Index

2015-06-28 / 03:45

In the past, Królikarnia used to be a patch of grassland that extended all the way to the river, a space for animals to roam. In the early morning, it used to become a hunting ground, especially for rabbit hunting. Sounds of the trumpet summoned hunters and later marked the end of the day’s hunting.

Another episode (the first this summer!) of the cycle “At Dawn” is set to greet the sun in a way some of you may already know. This time, our special feature is Kamil Szuszkiewicz’s trumpet. Faithful to his instrument, the musician deftly navigates the clear-cut definitions of genres. Kamil is represented by such labels as Wounded Knife and SlowDown Records.

If the weather is fine, he will play on the eastern terrace, under the canopy of early morning sky amid the first rays of sunlight. After a short while, Jacek Staniszewski aka Facial Index will take us on a musical tour into the depths of uncanny relaxation and wave-particle duality under the palace portico.
