CITY WALK: Gold Fever – the sculptures of Mokotów
2015-07-23 / 17:00
How did famous artists try to trick Warsaw people into buying a luxury apartment? Which sculpture gave the Mermaid of Warsaw a tomboy hairstyle? What do Egyptian scarabs have in common with the Deputy Mayor of Warsaw? You’ll find out during the second tour that accompanies the current sculpture show at the Królikarnia Palace.
Meeting: 23rd July (Thursday), 5 pm, in front of Europlex (ul. Puławska at the end of ul. Rakowiecka)
The cycle was created by Hanna Dzielińska – journalist, Warsaw guide, awarded 2nd prize in the competition for the commemoration of the Great Synagogue in Warsaw (May 2013).
The tour accompanies the exhibition Figures of Speech. The Architectural Sculpture of Warsaw 1918-1970
