Family Workshops: Sculpture Materials: Marble
During the workshop we will explore the different varieties of marble and learn how to distinguish them from other stones. We will find out why artists are so eager to use this elegant material. We will learn how to recognize imitation marble and we will create marbled patterns on plastic, glass, paper, metal, wood and styrofoam, using a special technique of painting onto water.
